The past few days had been nothing but bad weather, and if there was anything that Daniel hated the most, it would have to be rain. The weather had kept him indoors for the past day or so and he was getting sick of the apartments by now. Even though it was still drizzling, Dan had a plan to head up to the most up-beat, brightest part of the city: the Sunshine Diner. Quickly he threw on some decent pants, his black hoodie, and his old, plaid jacket. Before he left, Daniel fed Doggy real fast and made his way out into the misty-like weather. As he got to the bottom of the stairs, he threw on his hood and zipped up his jacket and pulled out iPod and plugged them in his ears. Creed, what a soothing sound they were to his ears. Silently, he walked down the sidewalk, making splashing sounds with every step he took. Yeah, it true. He was sick of this rain. It did nothing but make everything, including himself, wet. Yeah, it made the flowers colorful and the grass green, but where would there be a huge patch of grass and garden if wild flowers in Bay Side?
As Daniel continued down the sidewalk, a random man bumped shoulders with him and turned around to call him some obscene name. Dan could hear him, but barely. But he just ignored him. The sound from his earphones were a lot more soothing than a bickering, grumpy old man. It seemed the weather was starting to lighten up, though. The sun was glowing behind the clouds. A beautiful site to Daniel.
When he walked into the diner the sun had broken through the clouds and shined bright, warming the chilly air a slight bit. The diner looked as it usually did; some teens sitting in the corner laughing loudly at dirty jokes, the Smiths sitting in their usual spot, eating their usual meal, and the typical retro dressed waitresses taking orders. Nothing looked abnormal or interesting. Without even thumbing about it, Daniel went to sit up at his normal spot up at the bar and took out his ear buds and wrapped the cable around his iPod.
"Hey, sugar." A older-looking lady came up to Dan and asked, a pen and note pad in hand. "Breakfast ended about thirty minutes ago, so lunch is being served." The woman informed him, even though Dan wasn't much of a breakfast food eater. Maybe toast...
"How about a apple pie with whipped cream on it?" That souned decent right about now. He'd at least work off the carbs on the walk back home. Daniel watched the woman as she wrote down his order and walked off. Now it was the waiting game for his yummie food.
